August Reading List

I am a bit behind in this post, but here is what we are reading for August:

Bible: Husband and Wife are continuing to work our way through the One Year Bible from the plan We are in Nehemiah and 1 Corinthians. The school-aged kids are reading the Children’s One Year Bible in the evening working through a list of Bible memory verses during school time (yes, we do a modified school schedule in the summers too). The pre-schooler is having stories from The Jesus Storybook Bible by Sally Lloyd-Jones read at bedtime to go with the whole family year-long Bible reading plan. We are also reading stories from the Precious Moments Storybook Bible.

Personal Growth: Indescribable by Louie Giglio

Fiction: Little Women by Louisa May Alcott

Kids: Continuing  The Imager Chronicles series by Bill Myers, Robinson Crusoe by Daniel Defoe, as well as many of the free books on marine animals as listed on

TIP: You can download Kindle for PC or MAC for free and there are tons of great FREE books available for adults and kids alike. Just keep checking back to their website to see what is currently free. I rarely pay for a book for myself and many of the books I get for the Little Man are also free. The school-aged kids books are not a regularly free, but often at a reduced price.
